The Supreme Court recently made a momentous decision concerning abortion rights for women that eased the restraints placed against them unlawfully concerning the constitutional right for women to have an abortion. They decided that the "restraint" of not having an ambulatory style facility for them to go to "burdened their right to" a constitutional right to have an abortion. The pro-lifers used the tactic of introducing a law that effectively shut down these facilities for women because of the lack of an ambulatory care style of building which would facilitate emergent care during a surgical procedure. Women as citizens have a constitutional right, free from burden, to seek out and have an abortion. You could argue that the law preventing them from having an abortion because of the restraints placed upon the facilities served as a form of punishment for seeking out such a procedure. We, as Americans have a constitutional right to freedom of speech. We have a constitutional right to live where we want or not have restrictions placed upon us on where we can visit. I think we should have a constitutional right to be employed where we want to work based upon our merits and accomplishments and our skills and not what mistakes we, and we ALL have, made in the past. The laws enacted against people on the registry "burden our rights" to social media. they "burden our right" to live or visit where we want. The laws enacted serve as a form of post-offense and retroactive punishment against us as it "burdens our rights". I cannot see anything more transparent or black and white in the efforts to punish now law-abiding citizens disguised as an effort to protect children.
