I know this is most likely a rhetorical question, but we all know what the answer is. All this stuff and even the restrictions tied to the registry itself are there to make the public think they are safe from rc’s even if the information the media supplies to the public isnt accurate, as in this article. The main point they try to protrait is safety for halloween, the state fair, and anywhere children congregate. What they dont state is almost everytime (95%)a new sex crime happens its by someone not registered. The 5% that are commited by people with past sex offenses would not have been stopped by imposing restrictions.
