I've no doubt this is coming to my County. We've had it pretty fair and reasonable here for a while, but you know what the next hotshot young candidate is going to run on. Teanderso, you should call the aclu and ask for legal representation - or maybe ask Robin for a referral. There's no law you are violating - the letter is blatantly illegal is it not robin?

Similar situation in Wayne County. Went in person as required in February. Yesterday, a deputy left a paper in my front door giving the time of day and date he was there. Also, it had two numbers that I must call immediately in order to be in compliance of my address registration.

Robin,
Well said.
The very idea that LEOs can prevent crime is sheer fallacy, but the sheeple are so easily convinced that they can. The people are fools, scared fools at that which makes them IMHO cowards desperate to feel safe. Feeling safe is not being safe. I have little doubt the Sheriff will run on the platform you aptly described. The same pattern is on view here in Wisconsin whereby a state supreme court contest is underway. The last two candidates won their contests with the same platform targeting SOs. Both candidates are running ads currently espousing their credentials of being tough on SOs. We know why they do it, to win.
