In reply to <a href="https://ncrsol.org/2018/08/nc-coa-satellite-based-monitoring-unreasonable-without-evidence-it-works/#comment-791">Marlin Scott</a>.

I am confident that nobody on these threads is throwing unfounded allegations and unparliamentary tones, creating a hostile and unpleasant environment for all? Such behaviors will not be tolerated as just postings are deemed not a quality of dialog and rather personal-petty in general. Chuntering from a sedentary position isn't really the best approach in finding a remedy to a problem.

As for missing postings, our staff has researched if any some may been erroneously deleted when we merged new servers over the summer. So far, we do not have any evidence that any postings were deleted. Additionally, we cannot find any supporting evidence that there were posts sent to NCRSOL.

As for memberships, giving to any non-profit is a choice from the heart to support a cause the advocates outward to make a difference to our community. However, memberships do not entitle or lend special privileges. The staff of NCRSOL is an all-volunteer organization led by passionate and qualified individuals. These volunteers often have other obligations such as career or family within the balance. We are often mindful not to burn out our volunteers or members with information overload. I am grateful for our members that believe in what we do. But I am especially appreciative and amazed at NCRSOL volunteers who give countless hours of their time and energy to get things done. Perhaps you would consider becoming an NCRSOL volunteer?

At NCRSOL, we primarily focus on our website as a conduit of up-to-date information. But with COVID and the lack of meetings in public settings, information flow has been nearly stagnant or creeping at a crawling pace. To make up for the lack of public visibility, we have had successful bi-monthly conference calls to update our members, non-members, and allies. Information about our bi-monthly calls is posted well in advance on the NCRSOL.org website.

Lastly, NCRSOL is not a law firm or in any position to provide legal advice. While we may receive legal questions, NCRSOL politely redirects and suggests that legal questions be addressed by a qualified attorney. Satellite-based monitoring (SBM) concerns are something we are addressing with various attorneys for potential future litigation. However, there is a case still in active litigation with no new updates. NCRSOL has posted and will continue to post any relevant updates information on its website. Essentially, no news means no updates from the courts. However, if you still have SBM questions, I would highly suggest contacting any qualified attorney to ask questions. Our current staffing does not have anyone specialized in SBM queries.

We do hope you will remain a member of NCRSOL. My unreserved apologies if our staffing isn't available for every question. However, we are doing the best we can at the present time.

ps. we do not make it a practice to delete posts. Unless, of course, the posting is offensive to community standards.

Well it's very strange that all other names of persons who post have the posted message right above their names but for Marlin Scott's name there is no posted message. That makes two messages I posted just yesterday that has mysteriously disappeared. Am I being blackballed because I withdrew my $35.00 a year as a subscriber or maybe because I ask too many questions regarding SBM and the so-called laws?
I'm out!!
P.S. I am sure that this post will also never make it to the other persons who can view the posts.
