Google says Salman no longer works for USA today, but is now at the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. It baffles me that with all the corruption in state and federal government, lobbyist influence for contracts, and out right theft, why anyone would pursue the story of Mr. Lopez.
I guess Salman was going after the low hanging fruit which sex offenders are. Mr. Lopez has paid his so-called debt to society by serving an active prison sentence and time on probation. He's obviously a successful businessman who contributes to society and pays taxes, including payroll taxes. I wonder how many people Salmon's relentless pursuit of Mr. Lopez put out of a job.
I am a veteran and subscribe to all the VA news outlets. Every week I receive emails reporting on negligent deaths caused by incompetent doctors, nurses and other staff at VA medical centers. Every week I receive emails reporting on the sentencing of government contractors who have stolen millions from the VA, and worse yet individuals who have stolen directly from Veterans in their care.
But Mr. Lopez's success was Salmons world-shaking revelation
