Corporations can stifle your free speech, make unwarranted intrusions into your privacy and even cause you great pain and anguish. The government, especially police, (no matter the uniform) seem to be quite pleased with this big brother system of AI snitches.
All this at the same time the government threatens to ban Tiktok because the Chinese government might collect our data. I do not fear the Chinese government, it’s my own government that uses data collected by others that worries me.
