Dwayne, the Litigation Summit was very interesting. Thanks to all who were part of the implementation of it.
I asked only one question but I do not believe it ever got addressed and would like to speak to Paul personally. If it would be possible to obtain his phone number or email address, I would appreciate it. You penned an article entitled
" It is time for North Carolina Registrants to fight back." And I agree, but in order to do that as a layperson with no background in the law except what I read and study on my own, I am afraid I need more information on what to do and how to do it. I have downloaded so many Court decisions pertaining to sex offender laws and spend sometimes hour upon hour reading and trying to absorb enough information to fight back against those laws that impact myself and other registrants who have been subjected to them. Thank you for your assistance.

Dwayne, I posted my remarks regarding COVID testing in reply to your lengthy blog "It is time for North Carolina registrants to fight back!" in which you address the issue of those on the registry and the problems getting tested. But thank you for your reply.

In reply to Marlin Scott.

There is no known law that mandates the public be notified that a new or amended law exists. This is why advocacy groups, the media, and individuals that look up legislative laws are very important.

As for COVID19 testing, registrants are highly encouraged to only seek testing locations that do not violate current registry restrictions. Some private businesses have implemented free COVID19 testing. It is important to contact these locations to determine their policies. Additionally, county websites have a decent amount of information about testing in its immediate area.

It is important for people affected by the registry to contact his/her elected state representatives to voice their concerns about existing or future laws. This is our mission at NCRSOL. However, it should also be the mission of every person on the registry.

Dwayne, 1.	If a house bill is passed that will affect registrants in NC, at what point will those new laws be shared with those they affect? And if so, by what methods will they be informed of those changes? IE, HB593 and others.
Also, I am a 75 yo person who is highly susceptible to the Covid virus and who can no longer drive due to health issues. How and where can I be tested if not at a school parking lot?
